Probably one of the cleanest and tidiest sites I have ever seen. Stayed 1 night in Atlas Woodland static caravan with 2 teenagers and our dog. Extremely comfortable and peaceful, with very friendly and helpful owners. Would definitely recommend to others. Will return for longer next time. Great base for exploring the surrounding area!!

Arrived just after Easter holidays with 2 kids, dog and us with our tourer caravan to a quiet, very spacious site. Owner very welcoming and helpful. Quaint little shop with bare essentials. Nicely laid out, plenty of room and the kids loved the park. We stayed 4 nights and would go back in a minute. Cheapest park we have ever stayed on but well worth a visit. Perfectly placed for Loch Ness & Inverness and surrounding areas to use as a base. Great big Tesco & Morrisons 10 mins from site so easy to stock up on everything you need. Would highly recommend a visit as you will not be disappointed. Lovely family run site will certainly be back soon.

This is our third year visiting this site and it remains our favourite from all we've been to in Scotland and England. We decided this year to camp here in mid-June (for 7 nights) and the site was wonderfully quiet. You can pitch where you want in the tent field and it's a large enough area that you never feel crammed together. The facilities are still fantastic. More than ample toilets/sinks/showers, which are always immaculate. The showers cost 20p for (it says) 5 minutes of hot water (though you do seem to get longer than that). The water is nice and hot from the start - no waiting whilst your money runs out for the showers to reach temperature. The indoor dishwash area also has ample sinks with hot water, there is a laundry area and then there is the campers' larder with microwave, toaster and electric kettle (all free to use). Brilliant! Disposable BBQs are allowed on site - just ask the owners and they will bring you a breeze block to sit on one of the many picnic tables (so you don't scorch the table or the grass). The owners are very friendly and so laid back. It's a lovely atmosphere and very welcoming. Not much of an issue with midgies this year - not like we've seen in the past years. Maybe because we were earlier in the season. We had a lovely holiday this year and are already planning our next trip to Auchnahilin.

Arrived in late July (09) planning to stay for 3 days and move on to another Site. Made to feel very welcome from the outset. However after 2 days decided to stay for 5 due to the great facilities and great location which meant even a day trip to Skye was within easy reach. The microwave and toasters were particularly handy. Inverness was only a 5 min drive away and while the family were shopping I found a few lovely local golf courses. The midges were a small problem but nothing like as bad as I had heard from others who had visited other Sites. This had been our maiden camping expedition and certainly won't be our last.

We spent a week here and were very impressed with both the facilities and the very friendly atmosphere The hook up area grass could do with some drainage repair but it was the end of a long season and I would definately recommend it as a base for touring the highlands and will gladly return in the future

This was our first experience in a tent, and it was a resounding success. Excellent campers kitchen, and a very relaxed feel about the campsite. The only downside was the midges!

Stopped for one night on our way back south from NW of Scotland. We had stayed at campsites next to beaches in the NW so found this site a bit disappointing just because there wasn't really anywhere to go for walks, and the site lacked character location wise. Great facilities for kids which is why we think so many families were there. Indoor kitchen is very well stocked with kettle, iron, toaster, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. The shop is also very well stocked and the staff were helpful when they had ran out of milk.

I have had three wonderful weeks in a Static Caravan with all inclusive. The warm and family welcome and all the help given to me makes me as a foreigner feeling homesick to Scotland.

this as a great site, peaceful with very friendly helpful staff, and at only £16 for two nights is absolutlely great value for money. we camped in april then came back again in may, a great base for touring the highlands. the toilet blocks were spotless and even had liquid handsoap at each sink, the campers kitchen was a godsend for those in tents with free use of a microwave, kettle and toaster, loads of sinks for washing up, and you can borrow a book or toys for the weans. i'm happy to reccomend this site to anyone, and look forward to returning later in the year.

Stayed here last year and this year was just as good. Camped here first week in August and midgie problem was not too bad at all (although the breeze probably helped). A big difference between our last visit (1st week in October) and this visit - site was much busier but still did not feel croweded as you could camp where you wanted (within the tent area). Comments about the facilities remain the same as our last review - plentiful toilets / showers / dishwashing areas (all clean, tidy and under cover) plus the superb "larder" area that has an electric kettle free to use for all on the site - AN EXCELLENT ADDITION FOR THOSE IN A TENT! Other sites please take note :-) We turned up to stay for one night and decided to stay a second night - not a problem... just told reception the morning of the second day. Owners are so laid back and friendly, it's a dream. The reception area also has a small "shop" with a stock of essentials to buy. There is also internet access (not that we wanted it - but saw it was available). The only negative of our stay was not the fault of the site. It's more a general comment to some parents. Despite there being a play area next to the office, away from the tents and caravans, there were too many young kids running around noisily between the tents, even at 10pm. Us campers who don't have children (or might have left them at home/elsewhere for some peace and quiet) do appreciate the wisdom of "children should be seen and not heard". By their nature, tents have VERY thin walls. We've already developed a solution for next year...Either holidaying outside the school holidays or ear-plugs :-)

Absolutely fab! Well-maintained site with level pitches and not numbered so you are not forced to pitch your tent within 2 ft of neighbouring campers. Clean and ample facilities. Dishwashing area is indoors next to kitchen facilities - a brilliant idea for those sleeping under canvas. Microwave, larder supplies and electric kettle all free to use. The only thing we would say was beware the midgies!! We visited early September (unfortunately in prime midgie season) and were eaten alive. Still worth a visit, but take a midg deterring net hat to cover your face :-)

We camped here at the end of August and could not have found a better spot! Ideal location for exploring the Highlands - Inverness is only 15 mins away and the Cairngorms and Loch Ness within easy reach. The owners were friendly and helpful, the site was clean and tidy and the facilities block was good quality - the indoor kitchen was great and ideal for that early morning cuppa before the rest of the family woke up! Would recommend to others - will return if we can.

Very friendly owners, kitchen and shower facilaities are excellent and the location superb. Shame the pub is not open but the owner says it has been bought and will possibly up and running for next year.

Note to any future visitors ... the pub, which was a separate concern, changed hands this year and is no longer open. However the campsite and caravan park continue to thrive as a popular base for visitors to the Highland region.
