This link in a frame Category: Annandale and Eskdale A small CS site on a smallholding within the wooded landscape of Netherby Estate, taking a maximim of 5 vans. A backwater land, much quieter and tranquil than the congested Lake Distict. We are conveniently within 10 miles of the M6 & M74. We have chickens, an extensive vegetable garden (bring a hoe !) and friendly sheep. Stay for a while to explore the Border country or use us as a handy stop over for excursions further north, the Solway Firth or the Northern Lakes. Fees for 2010 are £9/night for caravan, family tent or motorhome with an additional £2 / night for electric hook up. Free showers and hot water. Our own lamb and eggs for sale when available.

Moat Vale A wonderful small campsite on the scottish borders. We stayed over the easter week and enjoyed glorious weather. The toilets and shower were spotless and the owners very friendly and helpful. There is a good network of local footoatchs through the surrounding famland, woods and villages. Good provision on site for excercising the dog (and the children !). The only downside is that the nearest shops were 3 miles away, so come prepared. .. although Emma will sell you some of of tasty home grown eggs and veg, we were too realky in the season to sample their home reared lamb and mutton.
