An excellent site for tent camping, marvellous sites in woodland setting and pitches not too close together. Showers were very clean and hot! We had a marvellous time building fires! Free use of internet next to the shop which also sells a good range of camping gear and cycling equipment (bikes available to hire). Lovely picturesque setting and great woodland walks up the hill.

This is a great campsite. Just spent a really enjoyable night on one of the woodland pitches, which are really private and brilliant fun for small children. The little'un loved wandering through the wood, playing by the stream, making a camp fire and visiting the chickens. There are really too few toilets/showers on the site for the number of campers, but importantly these facilities are of a good standard. I will definitely be returning to this campsite.

Had a great night here and it's mid September!! The weather stayed nice and bright, We enjoyed the nice walks around the campsite and feeding the birds. The woodland pitch we had was very secluded which suited us fine as we were there to chill out, also had great fun building the fire and toasting marshmallows, One of our best camping experiences this summer and we've had a good few! Would definately recommend this campsite to all, We can't wait to go back!

Me and my partner have just returned from a three night stay camping in the woodlands area. And the only way to describe it is "Absolutely brilliant" Its like camping in the wilds but without any of the inconveniencies. You would'nt even know you were on a campsite. Very peaceful location. We were lucky enough to choose a spot with no other pitches near us. Although some pitches do have other pitches adjacent to them. On the downside it is a very steep climb up to the woodland pitches. but well worth it. And only takes about five minutes. Rather than climb the steep rocky road there is a path behind reception while just as steep as the rocky road takes you there in half the time. You could drive up but would'nt recommend it. unless you have a 4x4 jeep. Which leads me on to the negative aspects of the site. (Theres not a lot). First up is the road in to the site. its very rocky. (Bolders and stones). and really needs resurfacing. And the lack of a hair dryer in the toilet block. Ha. But to the staffs credit when my partner asked about this they said it had been overlooked and would be looked in to. And the third and final thing is the chicken run just outside the reception and adjecent to the camping field. Its quite funny because they have signs up saying no noise after eleven pm yet you get awoken in the early hours of the morning by the cockrels. Which would have seemed ten times louder had we been in the camping field. Would be better if these could be relocated. But all in all these are minor things and in no way spoiled our holiday. The staff seemed friendly and helpful as did the warden george. And the views over the hills are spectacular. One thing i will say is if you intend lighting a fire its a bit of a struggle getting the firewood up to your pitch from reception. but wheel barrows are supplied. And the shop is not that well stocked but keeps the basics. I will end by saying this site is or could be one of the best in scotland with a few minor improvements. And i will return as soon as. and highly recommend it to others.

A good site although the field where you pitch your tent is very stoney and many potholes to avoid but it is Eco afterall. The toilet facilities are very clean and warm with plenty hot water. Being woken at 4 am and 6 am both mornings by the cockrel on site was extremely annoying but if you drink plenty wine it helps! The kids had a great time though playing in the woods, feeding the chickens and toasting their marshmallows round the campfire. A great location for exploring other places and there is plenty to do nearby. Would go back in the future but with earplugs.

We have just come back from a 2 night stay at the croft. The staff are very friendly, helpful & will go out of there way to help or answer any questions you have. There is an on site shop which provides basic camping & moutnain bike supplies. However, food stuff like milk & bread you have to be up early to get as it usually all gone by around 10 am but Comrie & Crieff are only a 5min drive or a half hour or so walk. There are 2 camping sections, the forest or the field. If you have a small 4 man tent or less you can get a pitch there but the larger one's will need to go in the field, both are very nice locations. There are many bike & walking trails of diffrent fitness level's & a small swimming lake. There are no play parks for kids but plenty of open spaces & friendly chikens which also provide fresh eggs for the shop every day. The shower & toilet blocks are clean & also provide an area to wash dishes & big sinks to wash clothes & drinking water but this tastes a bit funny so if you can bring it with you. There are 3 showers in this block, 2 gas & 1 electric in the disabled toilet wet room. We found on both days we were there if you use the power gas showers after 11am the hot water ran out quick & we had to make a fast naked dash into the disabled toilet to use the electric shower as the water in the others went ice cold. The people that we spoke to about this said they had no issues using the power showers earlier in the morning or later in the evening. Camping in the field was great fun as all the pitches have individual fire pits & theres also a big 1 which is coverd by an old army parachute hanging from a tree. However, on out last morning there we were rudley awoken by the royal marines at 6am as some one & there wisdom decided to let them do dome fun games ect with the kids in the camping field which they set up at 6.30 am laughing & talking as loud as possible. We were not amused by this & neither was the people in the other 2 tents in the field. But all in though the place it quite nice & I would go back but I will make sure there are no marines there this time.

Just back from 3 night stay and despite the best efforts of the Scottish weather had a brilliant time. We had a pitch in the woods which provided some protection from the elements although it was a bit of a climb. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful about anything and everything. Facilities were clean and showers wonderfully hot. Campfire kept both husband and daughter entertained, marshmallows available at the on site shop!! We will definitely be going back.

Fantastic camping experience. We stayed in one of the Swedish Katas, my nephews of 8 & 11 just loved it. Very good showers and toilets, bit of a climb to the woodland camp area but totally worth it. Wild camping with the bonus of a woodburning stove and sleeping platform which slept 4 of us comfortably.

Comrie Croft Eco Tipi Camping
We stayed at Comrie Croft in the middle of February in one of their fantastic Tipis. I have never enjoyed winter camping for obvious reasons but having a wood burner situated in the middle of the Tipi was awesome. If anything, we were too warm! Definitely take lots of candles, lanterns etc and possible your own camp cooker as cooking on the stove would take ages! Beautiful location and fantastic facilities. Very clean, new shower blocks (which are warm!) and lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely weekend here at the beginning of the summer and plan to go back. The staff are very friendly and the location is beautiful. We didn't use the facilities much but it was great to go wild camping with a toilet and showerblock nearby. The best part was the campfire! We chose a site amongst the trees which gave us some privacy and some shelter if it rained - which is didn't!

What a marvellous place. I'm almost reluctant to shout about how great it is for fear of it becoming too popular. The wardens and staff were more helpful and friendly than some 5 star hotels I have been to. Great location and close enough to lots of other places of interest although my 5 year old daughter was more than happy to play in the games barn, go on forest walks looking for fairies and using the tree swing. Discovering a pond full of maturing tadpoles and suitable for swimming in was a real treasure. The opportunity to have campfires is a treat indeed. Showers and toilets were very clean and well maintained and it was good to see that the site has thought about accessibility for disabled campers eg, the washing up sink has been lowered. Site staff had good local knowledge and went to the ends of the earth to get information for us. All in all, a lovely experience and we will definitely be back.

Thank you Comrie Croft for a fantastic relaxing weekend. You have created a wonderful atmosphere in a beautiful location! Facilities were excellent, liked the notices with what was on in the area and the updated weather forecast while we were there. We really enjoyed having a fire and being able to bbq. Loads of hot water for dishes as well. All the staff we friendly and helpful....not a "jobsworth" in sight.

Had a great time at this campsite. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, especially George and Andrew. Super location - handy for day trips to Perth, Stirling and all the watersports places at Lochs Earn and Tay. This is a great place for familes that like the outdoors and have a sense of adventure (10 year old Jay loved firebuilding and we all loved toasting marshmallows!) but who also want clean facilities with hot showers and freedom for kids to explore.

For Wild Camping, this site is in the woods and is spot on. You can take your own tent or hire a tipi, we decided on the latter and had a wonderful two nights. George the warden was extremely helpful and informative, he erected a hammock and a tarp for our son to sleep in and he even lent me his binoculars for the stay as I had forgotten my own. We were allowed an open fire which we used to cook on and to sit around in the evening. There are good walks from here. We can't wait to go back. Thank you to George and the other wardens.
