This link in a frame Category: Shetland Newly opened in 2006 this site has all new facilities. The site has its own licensed cafe, craft shop and there is a local shop (5 miles). The site takes all units, has 14 electric hook-ups and is open all year. The site overlooks the spectacular sea stacks called The Drongs and there is a pebble beach close by.

Braewick Cafe and Campsite This is indeed a lovely site. I pitched below the hard standing, so had uninterupted views of St Magnus Bay. It is exposed - keeps the midges down, but I wouldnt wnat to camp there is a South Wester. The shower block is new and well kept, but there's nowhere indoors that you can sit - other than the cafe which was only open 10 - 4 when I was there in August - which is a shame. It is wonderfully placed for walking and cycling round Esherness, but you need a car to get an evening meal - St Magnus Hotel in Hillswick will fill you up, I guarantee! Braewick Cafe and Campsite An excellent site with breathtaking views. Adjacent to the Braewick Cafe which does very good snacks and meals and provides a comfortable refuge in wet weather. Site fairly exposed and can be breezy, although this is to be expected in Shetland. Good clifftop walks in the area and loads of wildlife. Definitely recommended if you like a fairly secluded area. Braewick Cafe and Campsite Fantastic location although exposed to the wind from every direction. Very welcoming cafe with really lovely food, views to die for and wi-fi internet access to purchase by cards available over the counter. I passed through in November and was the only person in the cafe, stays open until after Christmas then closes fro the winter. Braewick Cafe and Campsite We really enjoyed our stay at Braewick.It is a lovely site clean and well equiped.The views from the site are superb. Food from the onsite cafe was excellent. Best site on Shetland definately. A must for the walker and sightseers . Back again next year for a longer stay.
