By the Way provides a variety of good quality budget accommodation for hillwalkers and climbers, and of course West Highland Way walkers. Until such time as the hostel accommodation is available, around Easter 2006,
the site offers European style trekker huts and camping cabins and for those staying a bit longer log cabin and holiday home accommodation.
By The Way is owned and run by keen walkers who have walked the West Highland Way (several times) and have also climbed most of the Munros in the area. The site has a laundry, a good drying room, an indoor campers kitchen, a bike shelter, a tent drying area and a good supply of blister ointments, plasters and bandages!

The campsite facilities are
(Scottish) weather dependant closing in October and reopenning again for Easter. The other accommodation options on the site (ie hostel and mountain/trekker huts) are open all year round.
