Greenpark Caravan Park
We have been going to this site for nearly 20 years. It has everything we need, peace, solitude and great views. There are many walks available. If you want all the comforts of home, it is not for you, but if you are truly caravan or camping people, you could not ask for a better site. Although the toilet facilities are basic, they are spotlessly clean! The prices are reasonable and we have seen many families enjoy this site as it is safe. It is lovely to see children running about barefoot on the grass. We love it!!!!!!

We chanced on this campsite in the evening when looking for somewhere for one night while passing through. It just about did the job for us but I wouldn't have been at all happy if we'd been staying longer. Basically just a field with a tap and a fairly grotty washblock. Another reviewer described the facilities as "1950s" which is being generous, very cramped toilet facilities with a coin in the slot meter even for hot water at the sink. The shower looked quite grotty so none of us bothered preferring to stay a bit smelly for the rest of the day. As we had two very small tents we ended up paying £20 for the one night which was as much as we paid for other much nicer and better equipped sites elsewhere on our holiday. Not good value at all and had I known there was another site further down the lane and a few others around I'd certainly have gone to one of them and had a better experience.

You won't find better soft, springy grass to camp on anywhere is the country! We spent 5 days here and had a great time even though the weather was very mixed. The site is a big open grass square with some views up the coast and out over the North Sea. The simplicity of it is very attractive indeed with the few buildings, toilet block and office, having the air of the 1950s. The toilets are spotless and the site owner very friendly and helpful. The passing trains, only 2 a day so not disturbing, who's drivers always waved and tooted to us, added to the comfortable feeling of it all. There are no 'play' facilities on site except the huge camp field itself but this is a positive aspect as it encourages you to wander down to the beach only a five minute walk away, and what a beach! Absolutely stunning in size and emptyness. Didn't see any whales or dolphins near by but spent a magical half hour just south of Brora watching at close range a colony of seals playing, feeding and entertaining. The Camping Club site next door was much busier than this one but it has fewer views and is more expensive so we definately made the right choice. We'll certainly be back at some stage.
