Killegruer Caravan Site is situated on the west coast of the Kintyre Peninsula 12 miles north of Campbeltown and 24 miles south of Tarbert, Loch Fyne. It enjoys superb views over the Atlantic Ocean towards the islands of Gigha, Islay and Jura. The site caters for static and touring caravans, motor homes and tents. The static caravans are permanently sited around the perimeter of the site, leaving the foreshore area for touring caravans and tents. The site has a modern, well-maintained toilet and shower block which includes facilities for the disabled. The area around the site is home to a wide variety of wildlife, with seals, otters and even dolphins to be seen. The area is also one of natural beauty, with magnificent sunsets over Gigha, Islay and Jura. These islands can be easily reached on a day's visit from the site. Facilities include modern toilet and shower block with shaver points and hairdryers, telephone and children's play area. Close to transport links to Glasgow and Campbeltown and nearby facilities include village shop, coffee shop, garden centre and post office, public house and restaurant, visitor centre and equitation centre. Killegruer Caravan Site
Well what can I say that others have not, brilliant, super, wonderful, shear bliss and CHEAP!! If like me you prefer and usually only go to Caravan club sites then you are in for a shock because this site is every bit as good but without the snobbery and the CC price’s. We paid £90 including hook up for six of us and the porch and two dogs for 6 nights and the 7th is free at time of review. Heated toilets/ showers, no playground though. I think a week would be long enough if you have children. Recommend storm straps and rock pegs as it can get very windy. Step out of your van and walk 10 paces and you are on the Beach. Great site and friendly helpful owner.

This site was a little exposed in bad weather. Toilets and showers were some of the best we have experienced however was a bit surprised that there was no washing up facilities. On site signage was poor and as far as we could see the childrens play area was a grassed area consisting of a goal post and some vehicle tyres?? Perfect sunsets with views of Jura/Islay. Owner very friendly. Was a great site for relaxing but lacking in good walks.
