Anstruther Holiday Village CLOSED
my family went on holiday here every year from 67 when i was 3, to 78 and i visited the town many times afterwards. we lived in blackburn west lothian then. 2 years ago i had a wander round and couldn't believe the Tartan Tavern was still there! some of the best memories of my life are from here. RIP Anstruther Holiday Camp!

Anstruther Holiday Village
Just returned from our easter weekend break at this park, we found the folk and the area first class, yes it is a little run down but it is due to be closed this year to make way for Muir homes this is a pity as the location is great for walks into Anstruther.

Anstruther Holiday Village
What a wonderful place to holiday, the views are just stunning and the village has a timeless feel to it, the people are so friendly and even though the site is closing down and a bit run down, this is a great place for a family holiday, everything you need is only a short walk away, what a fantastic place to recharge your batteries. Brilliant.

Anstruther Holiday Village
The site has very limited touring facility - no tents and only about 4 available touring caravan places - it does have a Chalet for rent at very reasonable prices and there are almost always static caravans onsite for rent privatly. The staff who run the site were very helpfull,....I would suggest any potential visitors to phone and get info on available options. The site itself is limited in appeal and what it has to offer, but is a great base for visiting the area - I would use this site again.

This site is a cracker. The caravan owners are just like one big family always happy to help each other. The guys who work on the site are very friendly and keen to please. I will be very sad to see the site close but will have many fond memories.

Anstruther Holiday Village
I have been holidaying in Scotland for over 10 years and this return visit to Anstruther was very disappointing. The campsite is quite obviously being run down in preparation for closure and that is reflected in the unhelpful and somewhat arrogant attitude of some of the staff. The site office (when it was opened) was embarrassing, in fact all the on-site facilities only seemed to be opened about 1 or 2 hours per week?? Having said that Anstruther, and all the East Neuk was as charming as ever. If this campsite was given just a little TLC I believe it could be the jewel in Fife's crown but as it stands, and as it is being run, it is a liability to local tourism.

Back to reality
Obviously a couple of the last people to review this site should have been holidaying in spain.Anstruther holiday village is a great place to escape to for a real family holiday. Ok so the pub might not be open 24/7 but its not the end of the world. The residents of Fife are some of the most friendly people i have ever came across.I look forward to many more happy holidays at the village.

Friends
We have been coming to Anster for about 12 years and would not consider going anywhere else, the local people are very friendly and the weather is glorious. We loved it so much so that we purchased a caravan, the site manager could not be more helpful. The site has a small pub plenty of entertainment, pool, bingo, sing alongs, disco for kids etc.. The town is beautiful, and it's there the chipshop is located where you could find yourself standing in the queue with famous filmstars like Tom Hanks who was there last year, but be prepared for a wait, this shop is so popular. Hope you enjoy anstruther as much as we do.
