This small well sheltered park is renowned for its friendliness and cleanliness. A peaceful haven in an area of outstanding beauty with a wealth of wildlife and panoramic views over the loch. Set in the beautiful Galloway Hills, Loch Ken Holiday Park is a fantastic destination with modern facilities, ideally positioned for you to enjoy a wonderful holiday. The park offers luxurious waterfront 2&3 bedroom holiday homes for hire, new hardstanding waterfront touring & motorhome pitches with electric hook-ups, and an extensive tent field with some electric hook-ups, its own facility block and dishwashing facilities. There are two new children’s play areas, pedalos, boats, canoes, bikes for hire, excellent loch fishing, FREE Wi-Fi, 24hrs information room, and a reception/grocery shop on site open daily. A heated toilet block with family rooms, power showers and hair dryers, and newly refurbished private disabled toilet and shower. Laundry facility with washing and drying machines. Pets welcome. Loch Ken Holiday Park First time camping since I was a child and wasn't sure what to expect. Stayed in August 2011 and had 2 days of glorious sunshine. My boys and loved it. The location and the view from the tent field is lovely. We positioned ourselves at the back of the field looking over the tent field and watched the coming and goings. The only down side is the road at the back which is generally not busy but can wake you up early. Staff friendly and following recommendations from them we made a trip to the C of Galloway and Carrick beach which was closeby which was an excellent day out. I always want to try other places but I know that I will be back to Loch Ken as we enjoyed it so much. Loch Ken Holiday Park You won't wake up to a better view from a campsite anywhere. A wee bit exposed tho so be prepared. Tent field is huge so you never feel crowded and leaves plenty space for kids. Toilet block is spot on but reckon it might be a bit tight if park got busy. Great area for outdoor activities and exploring. Try the ringos at the marina 2 minutes up the road, great sport for old and young. All in all, great site and great location. Loch Ken Holiday Park tranquil and gorgeous campsite ,plenty to do ,canoeing great with the kids ,found it in 2006 been back 4 times , excellant showers/toilet block and shop caters for just about all you need.
