Glengoulandie Country Park
Beautiful scenery, lovely area, nice coffee shop and staff/owners are very friendly/accommodating. On the down side to get to the toilets from the camping area, you need to go over a wooden bridge (over the burn/river) and the road either side is pot holed, which is quite hazardous when filled with water and dark (no lighting provided - please remember your torches). Young children will need to be supervised. The facilities are in the middle of static caravans rather than next to the campers (strange). The camping area is quite small and there are few limited decent pitches. Other pitches are on a slope and rather lumpy. Facilities need to be cleaned a little more frequently and a mouldy shower curtain replaced in the ladies. The outside showers looked good. Also a point to note, is that the showers take a token that can be purchased from reception, which opens at 9am and closes at 5pm. Not sure if you can purchase tokens outside of these hours from the owners home. There is a wee play area including: slide, climbing frame and swings, which is in camping area, so it is easy to keep an eye on the kiddies. Our children had fun, were occupied and met new friends. Next to the camping area is an enclosed deer area, which is lovely to walk around. Alternatively, you can hire their 4x4, which is great fun a novelty for the children and big boys! Try and find the white stag!!

we stayed on this campsite in new tent. took my brother, sister in law and nephew 7, my daughter 15. we arrived about 9 on friday night, we couldnt have a nicer welcome. the pitch was good. the wee burn was fantastic, my nephew normally addicted to his wee computer games, was in the water, almost contantly...the deer, the views great, if you want a taste of camping as near to nature, this is it. dont forget to use the cafe. we had lunch and scones, great if you dont like to cook. they will even get your paper and fresh bread if you need it and they encourage recycling. we really enjoyed it even if the midgies liked us a lot.......we will be back.

This a a very beautiful place in Scotland to visit, It is ideal for anyone just wanting the peace and quite. The campsite has basically everything you need if you don't mind not having Pub/club on site or nearby. My husband and I and our 12yr old boy had a very enjoyable stay there on the 24th May 2009 for 1 night only but would have stayed longer if we hadn't pre-booked elsewhere. Staff on site were very helpful and friendly.

Site in scenic location only spoiled by electricity pylons dotted around the hillsides. Toilets/shower basic but fairly clean. Small childrens play area but highlight for them is the burn that runs through the middle of the site (make sure you bring their wellies)

A nice site in an excellent location. However the tranquility is somewhat spoiled by the building works adjacent to the site. For some reason the builders find it necessary to start up their machinery at 06:30 thus rendering any sleep beyond this time virtually impossible. Not recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

My 4 and 2 year old kids had a great time playing in the burn here! The friendly mother deer and her baby were also very popular with them, as were the swings. Toilets and showers were clean. The cafe does some good soup and cakes - we got some to take away. Staff were friendly and effecient. As the reviewer above mentioned, the only downside was the lack of space for tents - a bit cramped. Great area to explore - stunning scenery, beautiful old houses in the area and the 5000 year old yew tree nearby was amazing!

Stream running through campsite and abundance of animals - deer, lambs, peacocks!- made this popular with our children. Small campsite - a bit cramped in between the deer fence and stream-but clean toilets and showers. Friendly and helpful staff.
