Cannich Caravan and Camping Site - August 2012
Stayed here one night on our way back home. Nice site with good facilities, friendly staff, nice level ground for tents although the ground can be hard! Cafe serves great breakfasts and is a welcome addition. The park for the kids is a great distraction for them. Only word of warning in the summer is watch out for the midge! Would return, but only in May or September when midge not present!

Second visit to this campsite over Easter week-end 2012 (earlier visit in October 2011). 2 adults with tent and car. Site ideally situated for access to Glen Affric hills and Cannich village. Sheltered camping area with good choice of pitching sites. Good hot showers (always important for hillwalkers). Have only given 3 stars for facilities for children because we don't have any - but there is a play park on site which seemed popular with the children there, and there is easy access to the football/shinty park in the village. Owner could not be more helpful (we forgot to take our tent pegs and he loaned us a set!). Cafe offers great coffee and fabulous pancakes at very reasonable price. Well worth a visit.

Just returned from 6 day stay at site and have to congratulate Matt and Fay Jones for a well kept, well run site in a truly beautiful location. Ideal base for visiting attractions or engaging in multiple leisure activities in the Highlands. As a family, this was our first ever camping trip and due to this first class site, we now have the camping bug and will happily return in the future. We'll also happily recommend this site to our friends.

Cannich Caravan and Camping Site
We came to scotland in August 2008 to live, but on route our house fell through so we were left in a situation where our furniture was in storeage, we were in our motor home with two dogs one cat and daughtr in tow, faced with the unknown we had to find a campsite that would offer us wi fi so we could find somewhere to live. We found Cannich caravan site was the only one in the area to offer this, we called and got ourselves a pitch, the owners Matt and Fay are the nicest people you could wish to meet, so friendly and understanding, we stayed in our motorhome till September till the weather got cold then we moved into one of their static caravans, over the months we had been there we grew to love the area and the local people who are great, we decided we wanted to put down roots so set about finding a house, which we did in december in Tomich the village near Cannich, since then we have never looked back, but if it had not been for Matt and Fay we would have been lost, I would recommend this site for anybody, it is well managed stunning location, and great facilites, smashing for children, no noise or roudiness . The on site cafe has cakes and coffee to die for and the best homemade soup in the county, and not forgetting the bacon and egg rolls, I still call in for my bacon and egg roll and the fantastic company, if you are in the area dont pass this little spot of paradise by.

We spent 4 nights here and it was simply brilliant, the site is well maintained and clean and the pitches for tents were perfect and spacious, would advise bringing strong tent pegs as ours seemed to bend in the hard ground but that is a small niggle. Showers were always hot and clean and the owners very friendly. Easy to reach some breathtaking scenery and Loch Ness is not far either, we loved our stay and would certainly come back.

We have just returned from 3 nights camping at Cannich - our first camping experience and could not have chosen a better site. We phoned first and were impressed by the helpfulness of the staff. On arrival we were taken on a stroll around the site so we could pick the spot we liked best to pitch our tents. The setting is stunning and waking up to the scenery around us and the numerous rabbits was something our children will always remember! The cafe was excellent and coffee/cakes to die for! The kids really enjoyed the playgound, pool table in the tv room and hiring out bikes for the day. We also enjoyed the local area and waterfall trails nearby. We were there at what surely must have been their busiest time of the year and we still felt that there was plenty of room around us and availability of shower facilities was fine. They were also clean and free to use. We were sad to leave and have come back with great memories of such a well organised and friendly campsite in a stunning location.

Cannich Caravan and Camping Site Camping newbee's
Just stayed at this site, drove 3 hours from Broughty Ferry to get there, it's worth it! our fist time tenting as a family (me my wife and our 2 daughters 8 & 15) plenty to see and do within a short drive of the site, or just have a walk aroud the Great Glen! recommended, and we're no longer camping newbee's!

We stayed on this site for two nights, during our 'Grand Tour' of Scotland We had wanted to visit Loch Ness, and after looking other sites near to the Loch, we decided that they just weren't upto our standard - we drove to this site, with the aid of our Camping Scotland map, and found, what can only be described as a 'little treasure'! Our kids loved the play-park and the fact that we had breakfast in the fabulous cafe right on site! The loos were always clean, as were the showers Very helpful staff too :o)

myself and my wife stayed here for 4 nights and didnt want to leave! the site owners are the friendliest people and the site is a little piece of heaven. The location is excellent with breathtaking views. We had a very relaxing holiday, its a completely different pace of life. The only sounds you here are that of the birds. A perfect site for anyone who just wants to get away from it all and enjoy some beautiful scenery. We will definately be returning.

Just back from 3 night stay, was meant to be two nights but we liked it so much we stayed an extra night. The park is well kept and very clean, including the showers/laundry area. The owners are allways on hand should you need them, nothing is too much trouble for them. We can also recommend the Slaters Arms pub/restaurant for 1st class food and drink within a 10 minute walk from the site

Stunning.
Beautiful location. The family that run the site are very friendly and helpful. We spent 2 very relaxed nights there last July. Would recommend it to anyone. The scenery is out of this world, and if you're into big trees it's heaven. Will be back.

Best Campsight
Cannich camping sight is the cleanest and the owners are the most friendly people I have been welcomed by on a camping sight before. They show you round and explain the facillities and were very helpful, it is near a village shop which was good for the children as they are always requiring some bits and pieces. Very well looked after sight for me it has been the best I have ever been and moderate in price.

We have just returned from our first visit to this site. The owners were very welcoming and helpful - and showed us round the site on arrival. The site was clean and tidy, toilets and showers well kept and loads of hot water on tap! Ideally placed for hillwalking and lots of fishing available locally. Will definitely be back!

Great site
Superb location for exploring all Strathglass has to offer. Pitches are flat with several picnic benches dotted around, site is not too large so manages to keep a homely feel. Toilets are clean with free hot showers (though no soap in soap dispenser), laundry and indoor dishwashing area, fridge for campers use and coffee machine, small play area for kids and TV room (very popular with teenagers) should midges get too much. Owners are friendly and incredibly helpful. Village has small shop which sell most basics and a pub which does meals. Best thing about this site though is watching the rabbits, if I sat really still they'd come right up to my feet to nibble the grass. Marvelous!

Superb Camp Site
We spent a week on this camp site, and can't praise it enough. It is in a stunning location, with excellent facilities, and is superbly clean. The owners are very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We have camped on sites all over Scotland, and this is the best so far without a doubt. It is the perfect location for hill walking and mountain biking, especially the Glen Affric, Strath Farrar and Glen Cannich munros.
