Lochy Holiday Park Nr Fort William We just love this site and have been visiting for the last 4 years now, both at the mountain bike world cup weekend and at other times too. The owners and wardens are lovely people, very friendly and always willing to help. I love the fact that on one of the busiest weekeds of the year (world cup weekend) they don't just cram folk in, they limit the number to what they feel they can cope with it and it works great. Even with a few hundred people the site is still well behaved and the toilets/showers great. Can't recommend it enough, it's a wee peace of tranquility and great for R&R, definitely a must if you are visting the area! Showers are alwyas lovely and warm, clean too, there are great views of ben nevis, and the banks of the river are great for bird watchers. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in fort bill, make this your first choice! Lochy Holiday Park Nr Fort William Spent a great week at the end of June here with my wife, daughter, and brother. The staff are very freindly and helpfull, the site is well tended and tidy, and the facilities are modern and cleaned regularly. Reasonably priced, would recomend it to anybody, great view of Ben Nevis, and only 5 minutes in the car to the town center.......... Lochy Holiday Park Nr Fort William Having stayed at a number of campsites around the UK, this is our favourite so far. The location at the foot of Ben Nevis, next to the river Lochy, is wonderful. The facilities are very well kept and the onsite shop stocks a good range of essential items. There is a small playpark suitable for very young children and direct access to the riverside. The staff are very welcoming and the value for money is excellent. The best thing about this site is that after 24 hours of rain, often quite heavy, the huge flat site for tents remained intact. It was not muddly or waterlogged at all. Excellent! There is a huge area for tents, which is unusual on a park which has lodges and static caravans, these parks often only offer a small area for tents. We'll definitely be using this site again soon. Lochy Holiday Park Nr Fort William A most enjoyable holiday camp and a return is a must. Not far from town and the taxi is a fair price ask for the number at the desk. Local bus not far away with a little walk. Ben Nevis shows itself in beauty. Staff of outstanding value to the camp itself. We were there in June was a great month for caravaning. Add this one to your list of calls. Also it is busy when the competitions are on. Lochy Holiday Park Nr Fort William excellent campsite, friendly welcome when we arrived, we were able to pitch tent wherever we wanted on camping area. showers were clean and always had hot water. beautiful view of ben nevis. camp site was quiet at night. we would certainly return to this camp site next year. Lochy Holiday Park Nr Fort William Fantastic site, not too big, and not too small. Friendly helpful staff. General relaxed and friendly atmosphere on site. Good showers and adequate washing up faccilliities, all kept clean and functioning for the whole time we were there (1 week). well stocked on site shop, and what looked like brand new washers and dryers in the laundry building. Within sight and easy access of the mighty Ben Nevis. Didn't have any real problems with midges, even though the camping field is right by the beautiful river Lochy. With a great mix of people, families, people of many nationalities, couples etc. Just a great site, quiet at night, but without the heavy handed rules enforced by officious jobsworths that can blight certain campsites. It made our stay in Scotland all the more special because we had a good base. Within easy reach of the ben Nevis range, the Mamores , glen Coe, and Fort William it's a perfect base for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts. We looked at all of the other sites in the area and this was the only site for us. I hope that we'll get to stay there again soon. Ace. Lochy Holiday Park Nr Fort William Lovely site. Well looked after and nice and clean. The camping area for the site is donw on a large field to the rear of the site next to the River Lochy. My 10 year old asked me why the toilet and facility block was right up at the top end of the park next to the caravans and lodges - good question! I would suggest that this should have been nearer the campers - we use these facilities most! The dish washing facility was very poor. For a large site like this, two sinks in a room no more than 5ft x 5ft is not enough. The toilet and showers were modern and nice and hot. Only thing I would suggest is that by evening, the toilets were starting to get a bit smelly and the showers a bit grubby. Perhaps leaving a mop and bucket to clean out the shower after you would be a good idea? The location of the fresh water supply for campers was a bit too far away from the majority of tent tocations, but not too bad I suppose. Please do not take this as a negative review, far from it! The was a lovely site, in a good location with great views. Well worth a visit. Lochy Holiday Park Nr Fort William Lovely site, we arrived in the rain however, although it was pretty torrential the ground was not water logged and drained well. The tenting area is lovely and the ground is great for pegs. Friendly staff, great facilities and the view from the toilets is just breathtaking! Especially at dawn/dusk. There are picnic tables which come in handy however i'm sure that in busy times they are taken up pretty quickly. Good location too, expecially if you are heading for the Glen Nevis range. Access to the river which is lovely too. Well worth a visit, reasonable pricing, we're going for a week next year!! Lochy Holiday Park Nr Fort William We stayed for two glorious days. The staff were friendly - helped us out when the car battery went dead! We had a brilliant time and facilites were brilliant - the best shower we had in our holiday (actually worked well)!!! Great views of Ben Nevis. Lochy Holiday Park Nr Fort William Lovely site right under Ben Nevis. Staff very friendly and helpful, plenty picnic tables to drag over beside the tent. Right next to the River so unfortunately the midges were rife when we stayed here in early June. Showers were piping hot and free, very clean and plenty of cubicles. Not far from Fort William for shops and eateries. Lochy Holiday Park Nr Fort William This is the best campsite we have stayed at, the facilities are superb & immaculate. The staff are both welcoming & friendly, I really simply can't praise this site enough. We were there last week, had a fantastic spot to pitch our tent. plenty of picnic tables around. The top of Ben Nevis was covered by cloud but still a wonderful view to wake up to.The showers were piping hot & free, the toilet/shower block are fantastic. There is also a seperate room for washing up. They have thought of everything here brilliant & we will definately return. It cost us £12 per night.excellent value. Staying at Lochy I have camped at Lochy on numerous occasions. The facilities are well kept and cleaned regularly. The owners' homes are on site, so if you need to, you can speak to them at anytime. The owners are friendly and helpful. There is an electric hook-up area with designated pitches and a large field, where you can choose your own pitch. This site is about 2 miles from the centre of Fort William, but it's not a bad walk. The site offers great views of Ben Nevis.
