Milton Of Fonab Caravan Site Staff really unfriendly and judgemental. Phoned the campsite to ask if there were any pitches left for two tents. Was told yes there was space. Arrived an hour and a half after phoning to be told there was no pitches available. This was despite it raining a torrent outside. It seemed pretty obvious the staff at reception did'nt like the look of us and made excuses about the site being full. We are hardly "thugs", were just in the area for a day's salmon fishing. Would't recommend staying here. There are better sites in the area with friendlier staff. Milton Of Fonab Caravan Site the best campsite ever. my only problem was the time went to quick. the staff are really friendly and helpful. the site is clean and tidy and the statics are lovely and clean. i can't wait until i go back. i put five stars for kids even though there is no park on the site but there is plenty of room for them to play. the facilities are good to. and for me and my partner we got the caravan at a 20% discount which was brill. this campsite i would certainly recommend to anyone who is thinking wheather to or not. best value park in scotland. and your only 10 minutes from town to so if you want a few drinks its not a problem. even the scottish people in the town were friendly. i will certainly be going back 100% Type of accommodation: Static Comment by paul morris from flint, north wales. Milton Of Fonab Caravan Site Wife and I enjoyed a peacefull weekend although the site was busy. It had rained quite a bit prior to our arrival so our pitch had a puddle in the centre of it so we altered our caravan position to suit. Impressed with the new office / shop facilities which enhance the site. Only one negative thought the chemical waste area was situated in a corner of the site, quite a hike from where we were.Altogether a nice site with good high standards. Milton Of Fonab Caravan Site This is a very pleasant site with excellent facilities. There are three toilet blocks including one which has individual bathrooms and the one on the main tourer site which has separate toilets and then about half a dozen individual shower rooms on the female side and simalar setup but with urinals on male side. These are kept very clean. The staff are extremely hard-working and very pleasant and helpful. No childrens play area but we don't have a need for that anyway. Very easy walk into Pitlochry town or up to the Festival theatre. Pitches are marked out, tents were not separate but all the tent pitches were together and had a good space each. However for vans the space was tight, we were between two units that were not occupied and had another occupied unit behind us - it felt a bit like being in caravan storage rather than on an actual pitch. Didn't feel we would be able to sit out if the weather was very good. Very quiet and peaceful despite proximity to main road and railway. Milton Of Fonab Caravan Site A lovely well kept site. I used to go here every weekend as a child but there was much more space to run around then. All available green space is now given over to pitches and it seems much more crowded. Other than that it's a great location, with loads to do nearby. Milton Of Fonab Caravan Site Pitlochry We only tried this site based on previous comments and we were not disappointed. This is a beautiful, well-kept and quiet site. There are no facilities for children but why should there be? Facilities for children include parents and if you can't entertain your offspring then I would suggest that camping is not for you. My wife and I now return almost weekly and will continue to enjoy the peace, the fishing, the shopping and the relaxation that this superb site offers. September 05 We visited this site in September 2005 and found it immaculate. The site is clean and tidy and everything is well kept. The showers are always hot and clean. The dishwashing area is spotless. The shop well stocked and not overpriced. Overall an excellent site, the only downside is there are no facilities for children, an excellent grown up get away from it all! Good well maintained campsite. This has to be one of the best campsites to visit in Pitlochry, very well maintained, clean and well set out. Each tent is allocated its own space which is marked out and no other tent can be pitched over into this space. A good place to visit, to enjoy the peace and quiet without being kept up all night by rowdy campers.
