This link in a frame Category: Loch Lomond, Helensburgh & West Dunbartonshire This site is for tent campers only although there are heated wooden wigwams and B&B accomodation also. There is a bar and diner available onsite. The site is on the West Highland Way and also at the start of climb to summit of munro Beinn Chabhair. Level grassed field with great views. Beinglas Farm Campsite Stayed for 2nights (fri & sat) with friends and our kids. Great time had by all. Friday night was a bit noisy, but not enough to keep us awake. Expect noise as there is a pub which sells lovely food on site. Toilets and showers very clean, although a few more female toilets would be excellent! Wash-up area a bit basic and in need of a bit of up-dating. Staff come round to check late at night and tell you to keep the noise down and put out fires, but once they've told you, they don't come back. I think it's just to let you know they're watching. Great time had by all and a fire, which you'd need to build up on bricks, say in a bucket, is a must to smoke out the pesky midgees!!!! Beinglas Farm Campsite I stayed here on day two of the WHW. The facilties were great, the campsite was clean and quiet, the showers were good as was the shop (although a pair of liner socks cost me £15.) The pub/cafe was brilliant, the food was amazing and the breakfast roll was just what I needed. If you are looking for a campsite to do whilst your on the WHW look no further. Beinglas Farm Campsite I stayed for the first time at the campsite for one night in July 2008. I had a thouroughly enjoyable stay which was spoiled only by the condition of the toilets/shower room facilities. Their progression from unclean to disgusting during my stay meant that i reluctantly used the toilet and was unable to have a shower. To be fair, perhaps the rapid deterioration of these facilities is due to the fact that the showers are located in the same building as the toilets. All other facilities however were excellent. The bar had a fantasic atmosphere, that was enhanced by entertainment in the form of a a sing along started by a guest. All the staff were very friendly. Likewise, the food was fantastic. A varied choice of menu and huge portions curbed the hunger pains. I would love to visit again soon. But i'm afraid the condition of the shower/toillet facilities will influence my decision of whether or not to visit again. Beinglas Farm Campsite Just returned from a cracking weekend at Beinglas. We stayed two nights (fri&sat) and the weather was fabulous. Site was excellent in terms of value for money and had a good area to pitch the tent. Showers/toilets were also ideal and we had no complaints re them. The site has a basic shop and also a pub (with beer garden) which serves food daily (never tried the food but heard good reviews). The wash up/cooking area was also ideal and we used this for our dishes. Nearby is The Drovers pub which had entertainment on the sat evening which we loved. The dreaded midges were there but never really bothered us too much (we used a combination of citronella candles and avon skin so soft). No complaints at all and we will definately be back! Beinglas Farm Campsite This site is suited more for back packers who are passing through, and need a resting place for one night. However, we enjoyed our 3 night stay there recently. First impressions on arrival were that it was simply a bare field. However, the staff were friendly and very helpful and the facilities were of a very good standard. The small bar was also offered a pleasant atmosphere. The only complaint we had was the man-eating midgies. As a scot, I feel more than qualified to say that they were unusually ferocious and I often felt as though I was being eaten alive. Beinglas Farm Campsite Easy to find..lovely view esp from beer garden.Clean showers and toilets, good food,sheltered place to cook/clean dishes,nice pub-not too dear.The only thing was the shop was kind of basic-not a lot on offer so if you don't have a car then take some food and alcohol with you if that's you're thing.(The shop doesn't sell alcohol).The midges were bad enough but we've seen worse.(Skin So Soft from Avon works to keep them away).So gooood luck!!!And enjoy. Beinglas Farm Campsite Great place; just north of lovely Loch Lomond. Pub on site had the best lamb I have ever tasted. (I had been drinking but I stand by this.) Feels very quiet and out of the way, as there are no caravans. Great for a weekend away from Glasgow. Beinglas Farm Campsite Just like to say that this is in my opinion the best campsite i have visited, by far my favourite and I have been there many a time. The facilities are great, the bar/diner has excellent food, all the staff are very friendly as are the people that go there. Great location too and not a million miles from Glasgow. Beinglas Farm Campsite We visted Beinglas Campsite on Saturday 21st April and found it to be a fantasic site. The facilities are excellent with the shop for any odd bits and pieces that you may forget to pack, the bar/lounge for a beverage or snack and the toilets are immaculate. The staff were friendly and polite. Even the rain couldn't put a dampener on it. Great place! Beinglas Farm Campsite This site is well located with stunning views all around, shower and toilet facilities were good, and bar meals were excellent. We arrived on the Saturday of the September weekend and unfortunately for us, the live entertainment was a rock band. With two young children aged 4 and 9 this was not suitable and did go on to the wee hours. Would recommend that families check out the live entertainment before pitching their tent. Beinglas Farm Campsite We were really pleased with this campsite. It was easy to find being just off the main road. As the river and a field are between the road and the camping area it was very peaceful. The facilities were great with modern, clean toilets/showers which were nice and warm too. A perfect end to the day was sitting in the on-site bar having few drinks and an excellent meal - I can thoroughly recommend the home made curries! Beinglas Farm Campsite A big thankyou to of the staff I met on my first visit to the site. At the start of September 06 Trevor and his family, the two South African lads Rouen and Van and Jamie the Paisley Buddie. All were so friendly, polite and helpful. The facilities on site are fantastic the toilets/showers are imaculate and well maintained, the pub is very homely and the service is first class. I will certainly be visiting the site again and would recomend campers to try out Beinglas Im sure you wont be disappointed. Good luck for the future and I look forward to visiting you soon thanks again for a wonderful time. Beinglas Farm Campsite Great location for West Highland Way with the added benefit of having the famous Drovers Inn on your door step. A drink in here is a must for anyone stopping over. Great facilities on campsite but can be busy in summer months. I believe campsite now has holiday cottages available to let for those that don't like roughing it.
