Located on Banff Bay 1 mile walk from the town centre. Shops hotels and services in the town. Cafe on site. Situated on the outskirts of Banff on the north east coastal trail, one of the sunniest driest towns in Scotland. This popular park is set close to the large sandy beach of Banff Bay and is a great attraction to surfers, next to the caravan site is a well-equipped newly installed children's play park. Other attractions in Banff are Duff House, Banff Museum, and Bridge of Alvah Walk and within a short distance MacDuff Marine Aquarium. Along the coast are smokehouses and fish shops, as well as quality seafood restaurants.
Total pitches: 133
Pub within 1 mile
Open from Mar to Oct
Our view: Visited here for one night in July 2005 and found it a very pleasant site. It has a cracking play area for kids and a nice coastal walk for the dogs.

Touring Angus and looking for a site in or near Banff, I happened upon the Links site. What a find! The location is wonderful - just yards from the sea and the gentle roar of the waves sends you off to sleep. It was windy and the weather was not the best but the location made up for all that. The staff were very friendly and the facilities were beautifully kept and very modern. We will be back!

met by very friendly, competent member of staff, who escorted us to our really nice pitch with views out to sea. We were 20 metres from a beautiful sandy beach, which was enjoyed by all. Banff, with all its facilities was within walking distance, A great place to stay, highly recommended.

First time in a caravan since I was a child... Wanted a hassle free holiday for us and our 2 children (9 and 3). Thought about going abroad but couldn't face the hassle of the airport, strange hotels etc etc... so decided to holiday in the UK. Not too far away - so if we hated it we could always come home! Thought about renting a cottage but then there might be no-one around for the children to play with. So decided on a caravan - thought about one of the big holiday parks but after reading some reviews/talking to other parents decided against it (basically the facilities may be free but you might find it difficult to use them - they are just too busy, too many people ...too big!) Left the booking until the last minute and this site was recommended by another full site. And it was perfect... Lovely caravan (thanks Pat and Tony!), lovely site. We weren't supposed to use the toilets/showers -but I had a nosy in and they looked very clean and in good order. In the laundry room there was several washing machines and tumble driers as well as a free to use handwashing sink and spin dryer. We had use of a communal washing line..not sure if tourers etc can use it. Lovely beach, lovely sea views, great play park ...within days my eldest had a group of friends(all well mannered) - we didn't see her for most of the day....I even felt safe letting my 3 year old play on the park for a short while without adult supervision... We didn't actually go anywhere much in the area apart from MacDuff aquarium which was good value and filled the only rainy afternoon we experienced. Banff has several shops - I'd recommend the 'spotty bag shop' - East side shopping centre (I forgot to take my fleece and got one here at a good price) For food it has a Tesco (smallish), a Coop and a Somerfield and there was a small shop on site that sells a range of things - from milk to buckets and spades...and water bombs(!) There are lots of places to eat in Banff and a couple of places in Whitehills...everything we had was good value and tasty... Downsides - the sea is very very cold - a wet suit is almost essential...and it was windy (we bought a wind break!)... But it is the best family holiday we have been on ....and I know what we will be doing next year...(although we might be buying our own caravan either a tourer or a static one a little closer to home) -if it is a tourer we will definitely be visiting this site again...

This site is right on a lovely beach, which was great. The kids loved it and spent most of their time in the sand or water. There was also a brilliant play area at the other end. The facilities were clean enough and showers were hot. Tent spaces are limited so I'd advise booking but the tents are right at the top of the site so it is quiet, the only noise is the waves outside (or the rain!). We would definitely recommend it for campers of any age :o)

Just made our return visit to this camp site and had a very warm welcome from the warden as well as the pack containing a lot of information on whats going on in and around Banff. The facilities as usual were up to scratch even though it was the very busy season with lots of families on holiday, nice and quite in the evening after a long day exploring and very friendly atmosphere. The beaches are very clean with lots of sand and sometimes a view of the dolphins lots to do for everybody nice walks and places to cycle to. If there was a downside it was the cost of public transport £14 return from Elgin would have been cheaper taken the car so check the costs if you are thinking about using public transport especially if you do not have a bus pass. Once again thanks to the warden for the nice stay and to Aberdeen council for keeping the site fees at a reasonable level.Dave Anderson Dundee.27/7/2008

Park is located right on the beach. The Playpark nextdoor is perfect for all ages of children. The Toilets and showers are keep clean and tidy. A short walk along the beach takes you right into the centre. It's peaceful , friendly & gr8 priced, ideal location and not too large , so bookin early is a must. Love it - a favourite

Found the site clean (especially the bathrooms), great facilities, great beach and play area for the kids. Very limited tent sites, and most of these behind a turning area for cars. If you get the one tent site in the corner, overlooking the beach, then an ideal site.

Visited this site in 2006 made very welcome by the staff and told of the places to visit. Facilities were always clean and tidy and pitch prices were very reasonable. I have been caravaning in Scotland for over 30 years and would recomend this site without hesatation to other caravan users. Looking forward to visiting the site again later this year Well done to all the staff.
