St Meddans Caravan Site Stayed here 2 nights in Sept.2009. Site very neat, but facilities, eg toilets & showers clean but aged, needs redoing. Everything else very good, close to 2 beaches, 5 minutes walk to Troon town centre, good shopping and pubs a plenty serving good food.Would stay again as very convenient to harbour. St Meddans Caravan Site We stayed here one night when we couldnt find anywhere else to go. Bit of a strange one though as it seems to be in a backgarden of a residential house! The toilets and showers were antiquated and very basic and poor lighting on the site at night. Visitors and staff (man in charge) were friendly and helpful though and actually we had a good laugh so didnt mind the fact that it was a bit basic. Small and sheltered with nothing on site but apparently there is a local pub. Cheap and cheerful - not the best but certainly not the worst we have come across. St Meddans Caravan Site Stayed here one night in June 2005 after what now seems to have been a lucky escape from Sandylands in Saltcoats! Small but perfectly formed site with the quaintest (and cleanest) toilet block I have ever seen! Very hot water from the penny meter - pennies provided. Sheltered site situated in a residential area next to an infrequently used railway line. Not much to do on site but the delights of Troon town centre and the beach are just a few minutes walk from the site.
