We welcome campers and touring caravans throughout the year at Thurston Manor. Our location, just off the A1, is convenient for those passing through on a tour of Scotland or heading south of the border. Most of our visitors tend to stay awhile to enjoy everything the area has to offer. All our pitches are serviced with an electric hook-up. Caravan and motor home owners can also choose one of our ‘super pitches’ that are hard standing and provide hook ups to water and grey waste disposal. Our clean, well-equipped and fully-heated shower block provides: • Constant hot water for showers and dishwashing • Separate disabled shower room (which can also be used for family bathing) • Baby changing facilities • Laundrette (washing machines and dryers) • Toilets • Family wet rooms The following facilities are available at Thurston Manor; Family Wet Rooms, Restaurant and Bar, Family Lounge Bar with free Wi-Fi, Sports Bar, Takeaway, Indoor Amusements, Shop, Indoor Heated Swimming Pool, Sauna & Steam Room, Solarium, Gym, Launderette, Outdoor Children's Play Area, Woodland Walks, Entertainment (dates vary), Fresh Water Fishing Please note additional charges apply for the use of some facilities.

Great location. hard ground. good for drainage, bad for pegging! 11pm, we put the music off however the leisure centre kept going until well into the night as did other dwellers very noisy.

me and my family have been comnig here now for over a month. nearly every weeend. we think its great. we have a tourer and we were able to pick our own pitch, which is great. i do agree that once you pay your site fees, you still have to pay to get into swimming pool and entertainment. which should all be included in the price. but over all this is a great site for families with children and would recomend it to any one wishing to go there

Recently visited this site and have to agree with a previous review that the ground can be difficult to get the tent pegs into (dozen easily ruined), however, dont let that put you off as this is a gem of a site that is a mile away from the main road and has good facilities. Toilet and shower block is clean and tidy, pitch sizes are good giving you plenty of room to put up windbreaks etc..There is enough to keep the kids occuppied and the main complex has four bars (family bar, over 18s bar and a sports bar, cabaret bar over 14s). Bar prices are very reasonable (you dont get ripped off) Food is served till about .Small pool but big enough for the kids to splash about in, ample walks, fishing loch seems well stocked, new keystore recently opened and is fairly well stocked

Nice site - terrible plots
This is a good site with plenty of facilities. Toilet/shower block is good and reasonably clean. Our problems were with our allocated pitch, ruined alot of pegs trying to get them in the ground. Expensive fee's as well. Obviously meant for caravans rather than camping. Overall i'd say there are more 'camping oriented' sites close by that would be worth checking out first

Not too bad a site
A good site with lots of activities for young children and plenty of good facilites, showers etc.Visiting local town of Biggar requires a car as it is about 10 minutes away. The site has good woodland walks which is ideal for dog owners.
