This is a family run caravan site and is situated nearby a farm, beside Loch Watten. It is a quiet and pleasant area with amazing views across the county side, both day and night. The site is located midway between Wick and Thurso, which are the two main towns in Caithness. Brown trout fishing is available on Loch Watten, which is within walking distance from the site. Boats can be hired for either a half day or full day. Fishing is also available on a number of other lochs in the area. Visitors can also purchase a daily permit to fish for salmon on Wick river. There is also a number of golf courses in the area and a world famous tidal current which is perfect for water sports such as surfing. Nearby, in the small village of Watten, you will find services such as petrol filling station, post office and groceries shop. There is also the Brown Trout Hotel which serves meals during the day, and also has a bar. Owned and run by George & Mary Ann Calder.

Old Hall Caravan Park
Spent 2 nights at the site in Sept 2010. Small site for tourers on level grass field. Site is mostly occupied by Static caravans. 4 electric hook ups. Owners friendly and helpful. Site is situated beside a main road and is sheltered by trees so very little noise or wind. 1 seperate toilet for each sex. Only 1 shower cost 20p for two minutes. All basic but adequate. Coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer for use. Swings, Wendy house and basketball hoop for kids. Discount price if you wish to fish on Loch Watten. Free Range Eggs for sale. Would return in the future.
