The Caledonian Canal is one of Britian’s most popular long distance kayak routes and many paddlers choose to wild camp during their journey. British Waterways welcomes responsible wild campers to the Caledonian Canal. We ask that wild campers respect our beautiful natural environment by leaving pitches free from litter and by not setting any campfires. The canal is also a workplace; please ensure that your tents don’t block access to locks, bridges, toilets or other buildings and paths – if in doubt, please check with our staff. For more information download the leaflet by clicking on the weblink above or call the Caledonian Canal Office on 01463 725500.
