Muasdale Holiday Park We had 2 weeks here in June.
This is a fantastic, small site.
The location is stunning, right on the beach, and I mean right on the beach about a metre away from it.
Stunning views over Gigha, Islay and Jura, you can't beat have a glass of single Jura malt watching the sunset over the paps of Jura, idyllic.
The facilities were spotless with free hot showers.
The owners, Adrian and Allison, very friendly and helpful.
Not really any facilities for children, apart from the great beach mere footsteps away.
Kintyre is beautiful, great views, great wildlife (we saw Golden eagles.
This was the best caravan holiday I have had!

Muasdale Holiday Park We stayed at Muasdale in our tourer last July, for 2 weeks, and will certainly return to this idyllic spot. Ionly put one star for facilities for children, but it all depends on what your children are looking for. If they want playgrounds and entertainment then they will be disappointed, but if they are like my grandchildren they`ll be in 7th heaven at the proximity to the beach and sea.
There is occasionally a bit of a pong in the air, but you get used to it, it`s caused by seaweed lying on the shore reacting to the sun. The beach is a lovely strip of sand, what I call a "natural" beach, with seaweed and driftwood and pebbles.
The toilet/shower block isn`t fancy, but it`s clean and adequate, and it`s also security coded for access.
We saw dolphins out in the bay one morning, it caused great excitement. In the afternoon we took a very enjoyable ferry ride to Gigha, and saw the dolphins again further out in the bay, wonderful!
Tarbert and Campbeltown are both good places to shop and dine out, although Tarbert does only have a few shops. But if you wanted to dine a bit nearer to the site, there is a nice friendly pub at Tayinloan just 3-4 miles down the road, and their food is great, and very reasonably priced.
