Nether Craig Caravan Park
Just got back from a week at this site, it was great. The lodge we stayed in was brand new and spotlessly clean, couldn't have asked for a better home from home. We usually camp, so this was real luxury, although the camping facilities looked really good. Although this campsite is in quite a remote location, there are loads of places to visit and it makes a good base. As the site is quite small, it has a friendly feeling and we felt quite safe letting our daughter loose in running around the site and play park. Would definitely consider visiting again & would recommend.

The site is ideal for those looking for a quiet, away from it all break in beautiful surroundings. However, those with kids between the ages of 1 to 16 would be advised to look elsewhere. The on-site facilities are sorely lacking, (the shop is open only 1 or 2 hrs per day, with little stock and the play facilities are next to non-existant) and the tireless work of the proprietors does seem to take it's toll on their attitude to holidaymakers. We enjoyed the location but a couple of problems we had with the door lock and water supply were overlooked, and we didn't enjoy being told not to play on the grass!

Worth every on of it's 5 stars. Superb site, Well maintained and organised. Staff are tireless in their work, always industrious to maintain this excellent site and it shows as it is in first class order. The management are planning on expanding to static vans and renovating the old buildings into a bigger shop and reception area. Perfect setting and ideally central. Toilets and shower blocks are very well maintained. This is the best site I have ever visited. Minor complaints are that the shop could be better stocked as you have to order the bread and newspapers the day before but this will improve once the new building comes on line. I will certainly re-visit.

What a wonderful site. Very clean and tidy. Hairdryer in the ladies toilet block and hot showers so I was happy! Nice walk at the back of the site - great for taking the kids on an after dinner walk. Felt the children were safe here. It didn't take long for them to make friends and head for the playpark so we were able to pitch the tent in peace. Flat well kept pitches in a lovely rural setting.

Excellent location in a beautiful country! Having visited 7 campsites throughout Scotland in 2 weeks time last august 2006, we've very much enjoyed staying at this campsite for 3 nights. The price-quality is OK. The facilities are well mantained, clean, tidy. Tentpitches are on the most enjoyable site, with sheep in the neighbouring fields. The atmosphere is friendly, the campowners gave us good advice: We dined 3 times in Alyth Hotel every evening. Having a car we've visited Fife (Falkland palace), the east coast (Arbroath, Barry Mill and Auchmithie) Aberdeenshire (Castles Crathes, Drum, Craegivar) and the beautiful roads through Glens and along lochs in Angus and Perthshire Comment by Bruins Soedjono family from Wuustwezel, Belgium Date: 03/09/2006

We had a relaxing weekend at this lovely park. The friendly owners were very helpful and tent pitches were great. No pitch was too far from the toilet blocks, which were warm and very clean. Hairdryer and mirror provided in ladies block. Laundry facilities available at a small charge. There's a sandpit and swing, chute and ball park for the kids. Most kids were amusing themselves riding their bikes. The site has a small shop with essentials and rolls and papers can be ordered for the following morning. There is also loads of info/maps on the surrounding area and these can be borrowed (we borrowed a 'local walks books' and went for a walk and picnic at Glendoll) Books can also be borrowed for a donation to charity. Lovely dog walks close by. Alyth about 5 mins away with chinese/chip shop if you get tired of cooking/bbq's. We had a great time and will return.

Just returned back from a camping weekend at nethercraig. The site was excellent! Pitches were massive and toilet block warm and spotless. Plenty to keep the kids entertained. A small play park onsite and a football pitch with goal posts across the road. Enjoyable woodland walk and beautiful river with waterfall 5 minutes up the road. Very friendly owners. Small shop with all the essentials. Can even order fresh rolls and newspaper for the next morning. Overall a brilliant, quiet, out the way site. Well worth a visit.

Very peaceful
Very quiet and peaceful site seemingly miles from anywhere. We were pleased to see individual grass pitches for tents, rather than being squashed into a corner. The toilet and shower block is warm and clean, but you need to pay ?0.50 for hot water for cleaning dishes. An iron and is available for a charge, and there may be a washer and dryer, but I can't remember. There's a small shop for essentials, and the friendly owner will get papers and bread in for you early in the morning if you ask the night before. We used this as a base for hillwalking in Glenshee and Glen Doll, and it's about 50 minutes drive from each. It's five miles from the nearest town and about 10 miles from the nearest petrol station and big supermarket, so make sure you stock up in advance. A very pleasant site and highly recommended.
