This link in a frame Category: Isle of Bute and the Cowal Peninsula This is a small family run 3 acre holiday park set within a 22 acre Victorian Woodland Garden and Glen. Located in the centre of Argyll it is also an ideal base to explore from. Best to book ahead during high season. Campers shelter for cooking. Located and signposted off A886. Glendaruel Caravan Park Stayed here for 3 nights from 15/08/11, Staff on site were very friendly and helpful. This site really is peaceful and great for a stress free break. Highly recommended. Glendaruel Caravan Park I can't see how this campsite is rated 5. We have been around Scotland camping and been to many that are so much better with a lesser rating. The toilet block is currently being refurbished but there was no hot water, they were cold and not very clean. The well stocked shop? It was ok wouldn't say well stocked. The childrens area - a small play park. The overall location is lovely and the tent pitches are nice and flat. It also very quiet and tranquil. There were nice walks around the site. The village is a 2 mile walk away (40 mins), great but when we got there the hotel was closed. Glendaruel Caravan Park Camped here for three nights July 08 and this is a wonderful location in the glen with a magnificent waterfall and walks nearby. We were made most welcome and the facilities were superb with attention to detail and well maintained (the toilet block is being renovated). While we were here it was so tranquil and idyllic. There is a play area for kids which is separated from the main camping area, the whole site home to lots of bunnies and we saw a golden eagle flying close by. This is a good base for exploring the whole of the Cowal Peninsula and trips to Bute. Glendaruel Caravan Park We went to Glendaruel Caravan and Camping Park in Summer 07,the standers were amazing. For first time Campers this was the right place to go.Friendly Company and great play park for the children. I would go back any-day Defenetly a 1st Choice !!!!! Glendaruel Caravan Park Visited this park in June 2006. Really friendly park, very well stocked shop. The park is six acres within 22 acres of woodland which provides an amazing habitat for wildlife as well as a great playground for the kids. The park is well situated for walking and cycling. The Cowal Way runs past the park. The kids were delighted to see so much wildlife the red squirrels are amazing and the rabbits although wild look very much like domestic ones golden and black as well as the ordinary brown colour. The toilet block and laundry although dated were kept very clean. The Craig family who run the park made us feel very welcome and justifiably take pride in an excellent park.
