This link in a frame Category: Deeside and Kincardine Stonehaven is famous for its quaint little shops, tranquil restaurants and historic enclosed harbour. The unique art deco open-air Olympic size swimming pool is within walking distance. The highlights of the summer season are the Highland Games and half marathon race. The caravan park is situated beside the village of Cowie, on the promenade next to the sports centre. Scenic beach walks to the cliffs of Dunnottar Castle. Open end of March to end of October.
Total pitches: 110 Pub Less than 1 mile. Open from Mar to Oct Our view: A great site for family holidays given the closeness to the beach and pool. Lots to see locally including Dunnottar Castle, Stonehaven harbour and Aberdeen 15 miles away. guide

Queen Elizabeth Caravan Park We stay around 15 miles from this site and visit it regularly with the motorhome. With two kids 5 and 3. Its ideally located 2 minutes walk from the beach, indoor and outdoor swimming pool and kids play park. The town centre is around a 5-10 minute walk away with local amenities. The warden is great and although the toilet blocks are the 'old council type' he keeps them spotless! Highly recommended for a one nighter or full week away. Queen Elizabeth Caravan Park Stonehaven is a must stop for a few days when we are in Scotland.The couple that run the site are very, very nice and helpfull and make us feel very welcome. We are looking forward to seeing them again sometime this year as we will be visiting Scotland from July to October . We are now OAP´sand don`t have to thing about getting back to work. Queen Elizabeth Caravan Park This is a nice site, located on the beach side of Stonehaven. We spent the May Bank Holiday weekend there and had no complaints with the service or the site (Wardens very helpful, and could not do enough for you). The only downside is the noise of the Boy Racers in the carpark next to the site at nights, but after a couple of light refreshments, you can sleep quite easily. There is a large play park next to the site, ideal for the kids. All in all no great complaints, we will be back.
