Foresterseat Caravan Park
We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this Park and enjoyed our stay. We were welcomed by Emma who was very relaxed and told us we could park anywhere on the site. She was very helpful with info on walking into Forfar, bus timetables and also info on the restaurant. The office opens 9-10am and 4-5pm (but unsure if these hrs are due to quieter part of season). The pitches for caravans/campervans are all hardstanding with electric and water on each pitch and they were all very spacious, the tent area looked well kept. There were 2 toilet/shower blocks on the site and these were excellent - possibly one of the best we have seen so far! The showers were very spacious with lots of hot water. The lady who cleaned our toilet block gets 5 stars, she spent a few hrs in there and cleaned them from top to bottom. I would say that their website needs updating as the Kookaburras restaurant has now closed and is open under new management. The restaurant is open for tea/coffee, high teas, lunches and evening meals & also offers a takeaway menu. We were given a leaflet on arrival at the site advertising tea/cake (ginger cake/carrot cake) for £2.50 so decided to pop in but they didn't have any of those cakes and so instead decided on tea & homemade shortbread for 2 - however we thought this a little expensive at £7.10. Also the Restaurant is closed Mondays rather than the advertised Tuesdays. There is a van which comes on to site every morning at 9am, he advertises that he sells milk, rolls, pies, sausage rolls, newspapers etc - unfortunately when we went to buy some milk he had run out so we were stuck as there is no on site shop. There is a Tesco in Forfar so it may be worth stocking up before getting to the site, especially if like us you are in a campervan and don't really want to have to pack everything up to drive to the shops. We walked into Forfar (which took us about 35mins), we walked along the main road but the first 1mile doesn't have any path so you have to walk on a busy road before reaching the path. There is an alternative walk around the back of the campsite which would probably take a bit longer. There is a bus service which picks up/drops off at the entrance of the park but are very far and few between. We would stay at this site again and I think it is a good central point for visiting other areas i.e. Arbroath, Montrose, Brechin etc.

Visited this site last summer. Returned in April 2010. Site is being extensively renovated with lots of new pitches and a new toilet/shower/laundry/wash up facilities with solar power panels. Site is spotless with roomy showers and good value for money. Broadband is FREE and the site has a good signal. Other sites should take note of this! A van visits in the morning with rolls etc' An Australian restaurant is on the perimeter of the site.

This was a lovely park well maintained and Emma the warden was very helpful. She had wi-fi when we were there and was improving the signal and no charge. A couple of miles out from Forfar with lovely views. I was asked what milk and papers that we liked and they were delivered to the van next morning. What service! Toilets , showers ,etc spotless as was grounds. There is an Aussie restaurant next door selling crocodile, kangeroo and ostrich. All huge portions and well presented. I would def' stay here next time whilst passing.

Very nice site. Very good clean toilet block with friendly staff. The Austrailian restaurant/bar was an added bonus. Nice flat area for pitching tent with plenty of space for children to run about without annoying others.
