Loch Ness Caravan Park
Right on the banks of the loch, views over the loch beautiful. All hard standing and small plots, so difficult to put up an awning. Dogs must be walked off site, along a fairly busy road for 1/2 a mile then through a gate to woodland on the same side of the road (I wouldn't try to cross the road!) The site is very limited for children, but if you need them kept busy and they can't make their own fun there are plenty of places a drive away. The bar/lounge (a little costly)on the campsite was welcomed on our first visit here in 2006 where we had a great night, 2007 it was hardly open which was a shame as being an on the go parent all day it was nice just to be able to relax a little at night with a drink. We would the site again if needed as an over nighter.

Great location - it's wonderful to be right on the loch despite the inevitable midges. Small pitches on a crowded, narrow site and variable but clean showers.

nice site toilet ok shower lukewarm. campers shelter in case of bad weather. very limited space, long narrow site that seems to be developed further. can be very crowded with just enough space to set up tent. very friendly owners with clubhouse on site. 11pm rule for noise which everyone respected. would recommend for short stay

Beautiful location, stunning views and clean ammenities. We arrived at 4 in the afternoon and were told that all the space was taken (although we could see plenty of grass pitches free) but as we were only a wee two man tent they could sqeeze us in. We ended up pitching on the shingles on the beach. On the downside the car was a bit of a treck away but on the upside, we were literally a stones through from the Loch and nothing can compare to waking up to that in the morning! All in all a lovely place for our first camping experience together.

We spent 3 nights camping at this site and found it to be a really enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly, the facilities clean and the restaurant served really nice meals. There was a bar with pool tables too. Our only disappointment was that the shop was very basic although there was a supermarket in the next town.(plus a mobile shop came at 9am selling basic items). The location of this site offers amazing views of the lake and we'd stay here again.
